Lead designer Martin Bruusgaard joins Red Thread Games!
"Good news, everyone!"
Martin Bruusgaard, former lead designer of Funcom's MMORPG The Secret World, industry veteran, dedicated beanie-wearing snowboarder and all-round nice guy, has officially joined the Red Thread Games team!
Martin will be working on Dreamfall Chapters together with director Ragnar Tørnquist, writer Dag Scheve, general manager Rakel Johnsen and programmers Audun Tørnquist and Quintin Pan -- among others.
(Look out for a big announcement regarding our team of talented and highly experienced artists later this week.)
Martin returns to the game industry after a brief hiatus in the marketing business, and he is psyched.
“I love games. I'm a game designer. That's all I’ve ever wanted to do, so I’m super excited to get back to doing what I love,” Martin said after surviving our gruelling interview process and emerging victorious. "I grew up playing adventure games, and I'm really looking forward to being part of the Dreamfall Chapters team and making another classic adventure game."
“It’s a great day for all of us,” said Red Thread Games founder Ragnar Tørnquist. “I worked with Martin on The Secret World, and his passion and commitment to his work will be a huge boon to Dreamfall Chapters.” He then proceeded to awkwardly high-five everyone.
But seriously, we are thrilled to have Martin with us. He has shown time and again that he has a nose for smart and innovative design, and his expertise and experience will add immensely to the design for Dreamfall Chapters.
Also, he's an incredibly strapping young lad. Watch out, ladies! And men!
